“THE DREAM FOR MAROON TOWN BEGINS NOW” 
 
Our Maroon Town is located in the parish of St James with the population around 20.000 and over in one of the famous maroon towns, Maroon Town, St James has no Maroons. Maroon Town is one of the five original Maroon settlements, but the British removed all the Maroons from the area following the second Maroon War in the late 1700’s. The nearest present-day Maroon settlement is in Accompong, St Elizabeth. The people are with many talents cooking are one and singing dancing is right there with individuals whom moved out and still remains in Maroon Town. The People have cultural to share their meal to their neighbors and very religious in their beliefs of the God they serve. The Maroon Town residents are hard working people, when I was growing I know the older folks had their cultivated farm-properties, flourishing and things was good; Maroon Town this area is a place that has many memories both bad and good. Has a child we have great moments with our peers, the moments was life learning experience that brought me thus far to now consider to go back and contribute to my former childhood society. This is a circle of life process that we all need or should do in life to teach all our young generation that life is all about caring and giving back. I come to Maroon Town aid, to bring something special for all the people within Maroon town and its surroundings; it would be great to have a hospital that would assist first respondents who needs medical attention. I remember when my now step- Brother Wayne Henderson, grandfather got sick, if only we had a Hospital in Maroon town he would have been taking cared off then. Has for my grandfather- Albert Thompson who had foreign agent in his medication, if only we have a hospital in our area he wouldn’t pass away then. Albert Thompson died in 1992… My grandmother had high blood pressure, if we had a hospital nearby she would have been taken cared off then. Ethlyn Thompson decease in 1996 things never been the same again. We have such little time here on earth, most of us do not know if we are coming or going let s make the best use of this time that we have now before it is too late. I Garth Thompson need Maroon Town residents to join me as I stand for humanity needs, and by standing for people let’s build a hospital that will be of great need to the community.
