Corey L. Lewis was born on March 16, 1981   to the parentage of Linda Kaye and Dexter Earl Lewis, to this union also came, his elder brother DaMarion Lewis.

 

 

Corey Lewis began singing in his local church choir at a young age and has always had a passion for music, but he began to play around with the piano and loved the sound of the Hammond organ, but still continued to sing in local community choir.

 

His grandmother has always kept him and his brother in constant prayer. After years of singing in the choir be  also began playing the drums and, eventually went to the piano and the organ...

 

With his mother and his grandmother as his backbone he pursued the organ, his mother who was also a previous musician and fathers a previous choir director and singer.

 

He got his first major start at the tender age of 12 to play for his home church the Lighthouse C.O.G.I.C in Dallas; Texas  for a few years   and as he grew in age and grew in his passion for music  he left Lighthouse  church and began playing at the New Life

C.O.G.I.C(CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST). He played at new life for six years. And then began playing at various churches for different occasions such as Noted to name a few   the Pleasant Grove Academy Church, Refreshing Springs Church.

 

After so much prayer and a hot pursuit for God the Lord led him to the Potter’s House church of Dallas, Texas where God opened a door for him to minister with the youth church at the Potter’s House who is pastored by the Bishop T.D. Jakes. Then hearing the call of the Lord both he and his brother left the city of Dallas. To continue ministry in the city of Lufkin, Texas at the New Zion Baptist church  which is Currently Pastored by  Bishop Cedric D. Kenebrew, and in the year of 2004 both him and his brother worked together just  like the days of the Texas northeast  state meetings was brought to the New Zion church and also songwriting had sprung up in his spirit and Corey had wrote some songs, but with putting his own songs aside to help his cousin Pastor Kenebrew helping him write music and to The CD New Zion Baptist church mass choir and Friends “altered at the Altar” which was released on independent Label And also the choir appeared on the bobby Jones Industry retreat in 2005.

He also was playing for various churches and organizations in Lufkin and Nacogdoches and surrounding areas of East Texas. The Lord kept him while he was in East Texas, while still there the power of God motivated him to get involved in everything that accompanies his destiny in music ministry, God challenged him with all the oppositions against him to attend the GMWA(Gospel Music Workshop Of America) he experienced a great event that motivated him to pursue after his calling in life. Then The Lord called him back to his roots in Dallas, Texas where his father is currently pastoring the Agape Temple of Deliverance, where he’s undergirding his father.

 

And began to go back to college where God ignited his passion to get a certificate in the Music and recording program which is at the cedar valley college in Dallas, Texas which is also where He founded the “keys to life and success” Keyboard and Organ Club where he his the Founding President and also a musician for the youth church for the Texas northeast state in the Church of God in Christ of Dallas, and also Texas East where Bishop J. Edward Lee is the Presiding Prelate for that state and also For the Messias church where the Pastor Keith Ford is pastor. He also founded the Middle C production, Inc. where he also serves as the Founding president for the company.

 

He plays the role of many capacities in the church but has a pure love for GOD

And his people everywhere…His plan is also synergy in various markets and open up an academy for the performing arts for children of all ages to pursue and to bring back the art of the Hammond organ to educate others on the organ, he is still the president of the keys to life and success.

He also plans to own his own record label and work with many artists in various genres

Including in the Gospel industry and in the smooth jazz music industry…

 

He loves to travel, playing the organ and playing music, meeting people

Meeting and working with various artist and having some good ole fashion church

And he continues to run after what God has for Him while helping others.
